Really like your company, not too happy with this purchase

We have purchased from The Lamp Goods in the past and were very happy with the transaction. In this purchase, I understood at time of purchase that there was a shipping fee charged by The Lamp Goods as this was being shipped to Canada. What came as a big surprise after the package was in transit was an email from UPS indicating I had to pay an additional $98.94 Duty and Brokerage fees. Between this charge and the shipping cost, the price was close to double!
Regarding the light itself, I really like the look of it, being the traditional schoolhouse style. Unfortunately, the glass dome is not balanced and since it is hanging by a chain, it hangs to one side. I've rotated the glass so that the lean is not quite as noticable from the direction it is most often seen.
